About The Position

The Supervisor Financial Clearance oversees the day-to-day activities of the authorization and financial clearance department. This position supervises staff and workload to ensure work is performed accurately and on time. The supervisor serves as a subject matter expert for staff, helping resolve issues and improve processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of experience working in patient access or a similar role.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Three years of experience working in patient access or a similar role, including at least one year in a supervisory position.

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, and manage the performance of assigned staff.
• Oversee staff day to day, including coaching, motivating, training, interviewing, hiring, and taking corrective actions.
• Analyze work queues and distribute work to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Work accounts, obtain authorizations, and create estimates.
• Perform duties related to authorization and financial clearance.
• Monitor work queues, reports, dashboards, and KPIs to ensure the team meets expectations and goals.
• Review procedures and practices for streamlining, automation, cost savings, and operational improvements.
• Follow department and organization policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal laws and requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
