Manage The Day To Day Activities Of The Environmental Services Department. Resolve Employee And Workflow Issues. Coordinate Evs Activities With Other Departments; Problem-Solve To Meet Department And Customer Needs. Ensure All Areas Are Cleaned As Scheduled And To An Acceptable Level. Manages And Disciplines Employees According to Union Contract and Hospital Policies. Maintains Documentation Regarding Work Performance of Employees on an Ongoing Basis.

Requirements

High School / Ged Completed.
Two Years Broad Customer Service Experience Required.
Ability To Conduct Excellent Customer Service When Dealing With Patients, Families, Visitors, Physicians And Staff.

2 Yrs Prior Supervisory Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

Supervise Evs Staff To Ensure All Work Is Completed; Ensure Staff Is In Assigned Areas Performing Assigned Duties; And Revise Assignments Daily Based On Available And Changing Staffing.
Determine If Work Quality Meets Standards Through Daily Rounds And Quality Assurance Checks.
Problem-Solve To Resolve Customer Calls, Complaints And Requests.
Interpret Hospital/Department Policies And Union Contract To Manage And Approve Employee Activities.
Resolve Employee Disputes And Work Issues Presented By Staff.
Initiate And Conduct All Disciplinary Actions/Coachings Required On The Shift.
Complete And Conduct Performance Evaluations For All Employees On The Shift In A Timely Manner.
Determine And Coordinate Training Needs Of All Employees; Ensure Training Requirements Are Met.
Interview And Select Employees For Hire With Department Director.
Conduct Daily Staff Meetings.
Create And Manage Employee Schedule; Approve Pto, Sick And Special Time-Off Requests.
Review And Revise Written Work Assignments Based On Changing Conditions.
Identify And Initiate Process Improvements Using Blue Belt Techniques.
Propose And Write Department Procedures.
Support And Promote All Hospital And Department Initiatives.
Notify Director And Other Supervisors Of Operational Issues Occurring During Shift.
Performs Other Duties As Assigned Or Directed To Ensure Smooth Operation Of The Department/Unit.
