About The Position

The Supervisor, EHS Operations and Preparedness is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the system-wide Environment of Care and Emergency Management Programs' daily operations activities in an effort to maintain continual readiness with accreditation / regulatory compliance and the associated WakeMed policies and plans. The Supervisor coordinates preparedness, response, and recovery activities for planned and emergency incidents, collaborating with WakeMed enterprise, service line, and department leadership and staff stakeholders, as well as with local, state, and federal regulatory and response partners. The Supervisor is expected to stay and/or return to work during emergencies and/or planned events to perform duties specific to the assigned roles and responsibilities. This responsibility may require working a non-traditional work schedule and/or working outside normal assigned hours and duties to support the preparedness, response, and recovery of WakeMed System's operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Required
  • 3 Years Emergency Management Required - Or 5 Years Related Position Experience Required

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Preferred
