Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of maintenance or repair work under your belt
  • A high school diploma or related vocational training
  • On top of building equipment and hand tools, you’ll have a working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics and preventative maintenance procedures
  • A reasonable level of fitness as you’ll be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel a lot
  • Great communication skills, you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Directing daily engineering needs to ensure the right team is always on the right task
  • Creating a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our guests to enjoy
  • Maintaining preventative maintenance and supplies whilst minimizing waste and meeting our green initiatives
  • Being flexible to respond to ad-hoc duties where we have to unexpectedly pull together to get a task completed
  • Coordinating with other departments to minimize disruptions and support smooth hotel operations.
  • Overseeing repairs, replacements, and refurbishment projects
  • Ensuring all interior and exterior areas remain safe, clean, and fully operational, proactively identifying issues before they impact guest
