About The Position

This role within the energy efficiency department supervises a team implementing Energy Efficiency programs for Eversource’s residential customers in Connecticut. The team includes Energy Efficiency Administrators responsible for customer call groups, application processing, lead processing, and customer emails. The job also includes management of the rebates program offered through Home Energy Solutions and Multifamily Initiative. Successful residential program delivery involves coordinating with Avangrid staff through a statewide approach. The role is responsible for ensuring that electric and natural gas programs for this segment of customers are deployed in a customer-centric and cost-efficient manner that drives high levels of customer participation and ensures that internal and external service metrics are met to deliver high customer satisfaction. As a supervisor, this role provides the strategy and vision to inspire and drive creative and effective solutions. The role is based in Berlin, CT.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of building science in homes and Home Energy Solutions & Home Energy Solutions- Income Eligible

  • Goal and objective-driven, including adeptness with removing obstacles and barriers while remaining collaborative with many internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to approach opportunities for improvement creatively, and act on new ideas with the objective of providing more value added to the customer
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to support business priorities, seasonal fluctuations in volume, and operational needs
  • Demonstrates flexibility in responding to changing priorities and evolving demands
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Eight (8) plus years of experience, with knowledge of residential building systems

  • Relevant energy efficiency certifications desired (BPI, CEM etc.,)
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Experience in presentations and public speaking preferred
  • Experience in energy efficiency program implementation

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, problem solve and provide professional development to a team of Administrators to create and deliver effective energy efficiency programs that benefit residential customers
  • Handle customer escalations from initial customer contact through execution of resolution including thorough project review with adherence to building science principles and the program implementation manuals.
  • Collaborate with the other residential supervisors to ensure consistency and partnership on program execution
  • Oversee the execution of the rebate program offered through Home Energy Solutions for 1-4 family homes and the Multifamily Initiative. Tasks include creation of applications, new energy efficient measure opportunities, reporting, and overseeing the rebate processing vendor
  • Oversee the overall implementation of projects for residential customers to ensure achievement of energy efficiency savings and program budget goals & metrics
  • Contribute to strategic roadmaps that advance sustainable energy efficiency practices amongst residential customers
  • Approach opportunities, problems, and process improvement initiatives creatively
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders. This includes marketing, internal management team, and Eversource MA and NH Residential program leadership
  • Select and manage qualified contracted services for program implementation and lead EECs to ensure high-quality vendor performance
  • Work with stakeholders to identify, promote and administer new and innovative approaches to blend energy efficiency with other initiatives and opportunities, including state and federally funded programs
  • Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with Avangrid program administrators including United Illuminating, Connecticut Natural Gas, and Southern Connecticut Gas
  • Manage program budgets, develop forecasts and track key performance metrics/indicators
