About The Position

Supervisor Electrical is a new role, which offers an exceptional opportunity to lead and direct Underground Electrical Crews, while ensuring they work in a safe and productive manner. This position participates actively to implement and execute maintenance and construction plans in a rapidly changing underground environment. This position facilitates the safety of staff, the community, and the environment, while communicating on a regular basis about equipment performance including availability, reliability, repeated problems, and cost. The position will be on a 7/7 (12 – hour day) roster and while residential is preferred, the role is open to FIFO and DIDO, with access to our camp accommodation. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $135,700 to $183,500 CAD.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years experience in the electrical discipline within the mining industry.
At least 2 years experience in Maintenance or Operations in a supervisory role.
Thorough working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
Knowledge of CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety.
Knowledge of CSA M421 Use of Electricity in Mines.
Familiar with underground mining equipment.
An aptitude for quickly learning and adapting to new computer programs.
Continuation to the overall success of the team.

Responsibilities

Direct the activities of multi-craft (high, voltage, plant electrical, instrumentation, and telecommunication) maintenance and construction crews by leading and managing work assignments for direct reports and encouraging subordinates to set and accomplish goals.
Set goals and objectives and effectively manage the work performance of subordinates including cost management and control of maintenance activities.
Manage the SAP notification backlog and the SAP work order backlog.
Develop employee performance reviews and conduct annual performance evaluation discussion, recommend promotions, and carry out corrective actions as needed.
Support the evaluation of preventive maintenance programs and report key metrics to management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
