About The Position

Under general supervision, you supervise, coordinate, and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit. In this role, you assign, supervise, and review the work of staff. You implement production plans according to approved schedules and participate in the full range of daily operational duties, performing the most difficult tasks as needed. As a Supervisor of Maintenance, you inspect and evaluate work in progress, identify problem areas, and direct remedial action. You conduct performance evaluations, prepare estimates for staffing, materials, and equipment, and maintain inventories and approve purchases. You also manage time, materials, and equipment use reports, train staff in safety procedures, maintain safety data sheets, and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED, and five (5) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in a technical mining-related discipline with at least one (1) summer internship experience (or equivalent) in a mining or industrial environment, including supervisory or lead experience
  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
  • Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
