About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager, Program Database Marketing, the Supervisor, Direct Marketing develops and coaches the Direct Marketing Specialists in the creation and deployment of offers to generate casino revenue via multi-channel variable campaigns while keeping direct mailing expenses under budget and on schedule. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Plans, develops and supervises the execution of direct marketing campaigns via direct mail in an efficient and effective manner which generates a positive return on investment and enhances member loyalty. 2. Leads a team responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of complex variable data, marketing content, and brand adherence across all direct marketing campaigns. 3. Supports direct marketing campaigns across multi-channels, including email, SMS, telemarketing, and Club Serrano Loyalty app that enhances the overall marketing campaign performance. 4. Oversees and directs communication for outgoing Database Marketing offers across all departments, property-wide, ensuring a unified and frictionless guest experience during offer redemption. 5. Collaborate with teams across the enterprise to develop and recommend direct marketing campaign strategies that align with the specific needs and goals of various departments, including Promotions, Property Marketing, Cross Property Marketing, Food & Beverage, National Casino Marketing, Hotel, and Entertainment. Expertise extends to addressing objectives such as yielding, customer acquisition, channel optimization, and more. 6. Provide quality service by enforcing quality customer service standards in communicating to internal and external stakeholders. 7. Partners with the Production Manager to execute direct marketing campaigns on time and under budget. 8. Manages relationship with the mail house in order to innovate the direct marketing offers with effective, engaging, cost-effective campaigns. 9. Maintains knowledge of Direct Marketing trends. 10. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Marketing, Business, or related field required. • Minimum two (2) years of relevant or related marketing experience required. • Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience strongly preferred. • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA) • Intermediate knowledge of interactive communication platforms including, but not limited to, email, SMS, and mobile applications required. • Basic HTML knowledge and familiarity with content management systems. • Knowledge of digital metrics and analytics programs highly preferred. • Strong experience managing complex variable data or campaigns required. • Strong knowledge and experience using Excel and Adobe • Strong experience in database management, segmentation and marketing campaign strategies. • Experience working with Predictive Analytics a plus. • Must be able to work collaboratively and independently. • Must have demonstrable oral and written communication skills. • Must be assertive, detail oriented and have strong organizational skills. • Must possess a curiosity and a willingness to take calculated risks with potential for a positive return on investment (ROI). • Must be able to translate business goals and outcomes and create actionable, measurable plans. • Must have a strong passion for innovation, best-in-class standards, and continual learning and development. REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license. • No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver’s license or insurance. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. • Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. • Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone. • Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone. • Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility. • Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties. • Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours. • The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
