About The Position

The Supervisor, Company Vehicle Operations (CVO) Global Policy & Communications role will lead the global strategy and governance of company vehicle driver policies and communications. This role will own the CVO policy framework end-to-end and partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. HR, Legal, Tax, IT, etc.) to ensure it is compliant, easy to understand, and consistently applied across regions and functions. This role will set the communications strategy for company vehicle drivers and key stakeholders, ensuring clear, timely, and consistent messaging across channels and regions. This role will also lead a global policy and communications team, setting vision and priorities, developing talent, and building a high-performing, inclusive team that delivers a best-in-class driver experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Criminal Justice, Communications, Human Resources, Public Policy, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in policy, compliance, HR, mobility/fleet operations, risk management, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of people leadership and/or leadership of cross-functional programs.
  • Demonstrated policy and communications writing experience for a diverse audience.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with HR, Legal, IT, Tax, Risk, and senior leaders.
  • Strong project and change management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, equity, and a positive employee experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in company vehicle operations, fleet management, mobility programs, or vehicle-related employee benefits.
  • Familiarity with transportation safety and driver regulatory environments, including U.S. FMCSA regulations or similar frameworks.
  • Experience supporting EV, connected vehicle, or software-enabled product initiatives where they intersect with policy or driver experience.
  • Experience governing digital content ecosystems (e.g., SharePoint, corporate intranets, knowledge bases, or AI-enabled knowledge tools).
  • Experience designing and delivering training (virtual and in-person) for large or global audiences.
  • Background in a large, matrixed, global organization, ideally within automotive, manufacturing, or a similarly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for a global policy and communications team, fostering an inclusive, high-engagement environment.
  • Lead global CVO policy and governance, including creation, maintenance, and rollout of driver-facing policies, procedures, and communications in accordance with local laws and driver safety regulations.
  • Govern enterprise CVO communications and content by developing, reviewing, and approving messaging and materials for clarity, consistency, and compliance.
  • Act as liaison for company vehicle strategy for company initiatives.
  • Own CVO content on digital platforms and ecosystems (e.g., SharePoint, GM ONE, knowledge/AI tools), ensuring accurate content, controlled access, and a consistent global user experience.
  • Provide business requirements and feedback to IT for tools that enable CVO policy, compliance, and driver experience.
  • Use data and analytics to assess compliance and driver risk, identify systemic issues, and recommend actions to leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement in CVO policies, processes, and tools to reduce risk and improve the driver and stakeholder experience.
  • Lead CVO policy and process training for organizations across the company.
