To assist the manager with ensuring service and execution of legal process in the 16th Circuit is carried out professionally, ethically, timely, safely, and in accordance with the law and policies governing these processes. Provide direct supervision to court officer I’s and court officer II’s in the absence of the manager. Develop a good working knowledge of applicable state laws pertaining to civil process, self-defense, law enforcement tactics, as well as, supreme court rules, court operating rules, and the court resources handbook to ensure the proper and efficient service of process, and execution of court orders in Jackson County, Missouri. Help identify potential issues and make recommendations to ensure our employee safety and compliance with court policies and department operating procedures. Provide support to the manager, assistant director, and director of the department and address issues reported by the clerical supervisor.
