The Distribution Control Center (DCC) is responsible for the real-time monitoring, operation, and restoration of the electric distribution system to ensure safe, reliable service to our customers. The team coordinates closely with field personnel, emergency response teams, and internal partners to manage both planned and unplanned outages, including large-scale storm and Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) events. This is a 24/7 operation that requires continuous coverage to support system reliability, emergency response, and customer restoration efforts. The Supervisor, System Operations & Control, leads frontline operations within a 24/7 control center environment, overseeing system operators responsible for grid monitoring, outage response, and restoration activities. This role ensures safe and compliant operations while driving timely and effective decision-making during both routine and emergency conditions. Supervisors are expected to work static or rotating shifts that include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs. Due to the nature of the work, overtime is required, particularly during periods of increased system demand, major outage events, storms or PSPS activations, where all-hand support is expected. This position requires strong leadership presence on-site, the ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure environments, and a commitment to supporting team performance, safety, and operational excellence at all times.
