About The Position

The Coiled Tubing Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and technically sound execution of coiled tubing operations, including drillouts, cleanouts, and intervention work. This role serves as the on-site leader, accountable for crew performance, equipment integrity, regulatory compliance, and direct customer interface. The Supervisor ensures all operations align with company standards, client objectives, and well-control requirements while optimizing job performance and minimizing non-productive time (NPT). Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (technical degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of coiled tubing field experience
  • 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of: Coil mechanics (tension, compression, buckling), Pressure control equipment and procedures, Downhole hydraulics and friction modeling
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
  • Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site coiled tubing operations, including:
  • Mill drillouts (composite/frac plugs)
  • Cleanouts and circulation operations
  • Nitrogen-assisted and fluid-based interventions
  • Execute jobs in accordance with:
  • Approved coil modeling (e.g., Cerberus outputs)
  • Well programs and client procedures
  • Internal SOPs and pressure control standards
  • Monitor real-time job parameters:
  • Pump rates, surface pressures, WOB, returns, torque/drag trends
  • Adjust operational strategy based on downhole response and modeling limits
  • Complete accurate and timely job documentation:
  • Daily reports
  • End-of-well summaries
  • Incident/NPT reports
  • Utilize reporting systems (e.g., Max Completions, CTES logs)
  • Ensure all operational data is captured for:
  • Post-job analysis
  • Client reporting
  • Continuous improvement
