About The Position
Supervises and supports Center counselors and Career Preparation Period (CPP) Specialists. Oversees program planning, staff development, and service delivery to ensure students receive quality career counseling, job readiness training, and employment support. Serves as the proxy for the Career Counseling Manager when necessary.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university; no substitutions.
- Including 15 semester hours of instruction in social service-related instruction.
- At least 2 years of experience working with youth and young adults.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Database and spreadsheet experience.
- Word processing software experience.
- Customer service skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Planning skills.
- Inventory Software experience.
- Internet software experience.
- The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
- Must be certified in CPR and maintain throughout employment.
- Required to meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
