About The Position

The IRL Supervisor- Blood Bank will lead and develop a high-performing laboratory team. This role partners with the Medical Director to support quality patient care and laboratory operations. Responsibilities include overseeing complex blood bank testing, quality control, validations, and regulatory compliance. The supervisor ensures testing accuracy, resolves technical issues, and maintains quality standards. They also manage training, competency assessments, audits, inspections, and corrective actions, while supporting department budgets, supply purchases, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a biological or related field and SBB (ASCP) equivalent required.
• 5+ years of high-complexity blood bank experience.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

• State license may be required where applicable
• Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
