If you’re ready to grow with us, we’d love to hear from you. We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Van Nuys, CA bakery. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be accountable for leading maintenance operations across assigned shifts, ensuring efficient execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities while maximizing equipment reliability and plant performance. This role is vital in supporting production objectives through effective resource planning, team leadership, continuous improvement, and maintenance system management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Experience working in a maintenance department.
  • Knowledge of equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, technical drawings, instructions, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience utilizing computerized maintenance systems or similar maintenance tracking tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an automated food processing or food manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Experience supervising and developing maintenance employees.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of CMMS administration, reporting, and maintenance planning processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance operations to ensure timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules in partnership with production and maintenance planning teams.
  • Supervise, train, and develop maintenance team members to enhance performance, safety, and engagement.
  • Oversee CMMS utilization, maintenance documentation, and work order management for operational effectiveness.
  • Analyze equipment downtime and implement root cause corrective actions to improve reliability.
  • Coordinate contractor activities, major maintenance projects, and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain facility, equipment, and grounds in compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and regulatory expectations.
