Empire Justice Center is seeking a Supervising Senior Litigation Attorney to lead and conduct impact litigation and class action cases, develop new litigation initiatives, and collaborate with practice group attorneys and external partners to advance systemic change. This role involves providing legal supervision, mentorship, and training to attorneys and paralegals, and contributing to the organization's strategic vision to expand access to justice for low-income New Yorkers. The work will focus on practice areas including public benefits, civil rights (disability, LGBTQ, and special education), health care, and/or tenants' rights. The individual will carry a litigation caseload and report to the Director of Litigation. The position offers a flexible 35-hour full-time work week, loan repayment assistance, a comprehensive health insurance plan for employees and their families, 13 paid holidays, office closure between Christmas Day and New Year's Day, generous vacation, sick, and personal time, group term life insurance, and a 403(b) with employer contributions. A $2,000 bilingual salary enhancement is available for qualifying employees.
