About The Position

Western Geriatrics & Neurology, part of Brigade Health, is a multispecialty medical group providing senior healthcare in patients’ homes and via telehealth. The organization offers geriatrics, behavioral health, and neurology services, with personalized care plans, care management, and technology-supported care.

The Supervising Neurologist oversees and supports neurology-focused Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Providers see patients in person or via telehealth. This is an as-needed role with flexible, remote opportunities. The position offers a monthly stipend of $250 per provider and optional participation in clinical care or leadership initiatives.

Requirements

• State-licensed and board-certified in neurology.
• Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in California.
• Strong ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and guidance.
• Flexible availability to provide supervision and chart review on an as-needed basis.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience supervising Advanced Practice Providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and consultation to APPs, ensuring compliance with California state regulations and organizational policies.
• Review and sign off on medical charts as required.
• Support clinical decision-making by guiding patient care plans and treatment strategies.
• Collaborate with APPs to maintain a high standard of care.
• Ensure adherence to legal and ethical guidelines for APP practice in California.
