About The Position

The position is located in Shawinigan, Quebec, at the St-Maurice plant, with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • Technical or university degree in logistics, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • SAP knowledge is an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics, shipping-receiving, or operations supervision.
  • Experience in supervision in a unionized environment and mobilizing leadership are highly valued.
  • Positive attitude and team spirit.
  • Proactive approach to daily management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Autonomy, organizational skills, and rigor.
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously with efficiency.
  • Good level of English is necessary (due to the presence of part of the team in Ontario and the United States, requiring fluid communication).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the plant's logistics operations to ensure safe, on-time, and cost-effective shipments.
  • Plan shipments according to production priorities and coordinate with carriers.
  • Ensure the availability of materials for shipment and react quickly to changes or delays.
  • Develop the transportation schedule and prepare shipping documents with logistical support.
  • Supervise the reception of raw materials, parts, and loading/unloading activities.
  • Lead the team and contribute to projects, production meetings, and contract reviews.
  • Mobilize the team, manage schedules and vacations, and plan training needs.
  • Apply and enforce health and safety regulations.
  • Use computer tools for reception, information retrieval, and shipping.
  • Control shipping inventories and collaborate with planning and sales departments.
  • Provide backup for the logistics coordinator as needed.
