About The Position

Coordinates and supervises visitation of non-custodial parents/caregivers and their children by performing the following duties. Requirements

  • Ability to remain neutral/calm in the face of parents who may display high levels of animosity towards each other, caregivers or Outreach staff.
  • Ability to work on participants’ strengths while remaining firm when needed.
  • Master's or Bachelor’s degree; and 3 to 5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Microsoft Office skills and accurate typing/data entry skills required.
  • Must have, or meet the requirements to obtain, current ACT 33 (Child Abuse) & 34 (Criminal Background) Clearances.
  • Must be able to obtain additional clearances as required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • Must annually complete all training hours required by Outreach.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with people from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds is preferred.
  • Background in the counseling/mental health field preferred.
  • Spanish language skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and supervises visits between non-custodial parents/caregivers and children.
  • Conducts thorough intake evaluations.
  • Observes/monitors physical and emotional parenting skills/knowledge, boundary setting and overall parent-child interaction.
  • Models appropriate parenting behavior, intervenes, and redirects as needed.
  • Performs comprehensive note taking using DAP format.
  • Regularly writes and submits reports to the court, which may include testifying in court.
  • Acts as a liaison and family intermediary between custodial and noncustodial caregivers, the court system and other service providers.
  • Provide transportation for visits as needed.
  • Regular data entry (Excel and agency database) and file maintenance.
  • Participates in agency and team meetings
  • Represents agency in community or in interagency activities.
  • Attends professional development opportunities when available.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
