About The Position

As a Supervised Instructor Therapist (ABA) on our team, you are an integral part of our specialized services for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other developmental disabilities. Requirements

  • Positive attitude, organized, and passion for learning.
  • Willing to complete Criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing treatment plans based on best practices.
  • Uses systematic methods and behavioural strategies to support client in changing their behaviour.
  • Contributes to the development of ABA programs established by the BCBA to teach and reinforce a variety of skills for children and youth in a 1:1 and/or small group setting.
  • Understand the functions of behavior and responding appropriately and safely when situations arise.
  • Adhere to all ABA training, procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and/or routine and provide creative solutions.
  • Responsible for creating a positive and engaging environment for the client.
  • Responsible for maintaining the well-being and safety of the client while under their care.
  • Responsible to track client progress through the collection of data and graphing while keeping clients engaged.
  • Assists in conducting baseline measurements and other indirect measures as instructed by the Lead Therapist/BCaBA/BCBA.
  • Responsible to complete incident report in Microsoft Teams as per regional requirements within 24 hours of an incident.
  • Prepares teaching materials and organizes teaching environment.
  • Documents/records exceptional circumstances, completes ABC logs, and tracks multiple behaviours.
  • Organize and maintain program binders foreach client to include documentation, data collection, and individual files.
  • Maintains workspace organization and cleanliness.
  • Support clients with personal care tasks such as dressing, toileting, and eating.
  • Responsible for completing indirect work under the direction of the clinician in the appropriate time allotted and framework expected.
