About The Position

Professional Services Group is now hiring for the part-time Supervised Family Interactions Worker! This is a meaningful part-time position that can make a difference in people's lives and offers valuable experience in the human services field while helping families in the community. Professional Services Group is a dynamic and innovative social services organization dedicated to helping families achieve their greatest potential. This position is responsible for providing court-ordered supervision between children who are in temporary foster care placement and their families. Visits are also conducted for biological parents who have been ordered to participate by Family Court. The Supervised Family Interactions Worker arranges and supervises visits, observes interactions, and, when necessary, transports children/parents to and from visits. Information from these visits is documented and reported to the Waukesha County Child & Family Services Social Worker. This is an ideal position for both experienced professionals and individuals new to the field. Current students exploring the human services field and seeking flexible hours are welcome to apply!

Requirements

Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
At minimum, must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in social services, human services, criminal justice, early childhood education, or child care is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Utilize knowledge of child development to conduct safe visits with family members and encourage visits to be positive and interactive.
Monitor child/family interaction during visitation.
Redirect families and provide feedback, as needed.
Safely transport individuals to and from visits.
Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
