Requirements

5-10 years of experience as a commercial superintendent with Design-Build ground up experience.
Commercial construction experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
Extremely detail oriented.
Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.
Thorough understanding of quality building practices.
Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
Actively support and enforce GLC Safety Policies.
Proficiency in Procore.
Proficiency in Excel and Word.
Willingness to travel away and overnight.

Responsibilities

Develop efficient schedules and cost-effective plans that drive projects to successful completion.
Provide meticulous daily reporting and maintain logs.
Manage shop drawings.
Actively communicate performance and schedule issues to the Project Manager.
Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to quality and ethical standards.
Collaborate with a diverse team, coordinating work activities of tradespeople and professionals for seamless execution.
Conduct regular inspections to uphold the highest quality.
Prepare thorough progress reports for stakeholders.
Work closely with architects, engineers, and other crucial parties to ensure all specifications and regulations are met.
Adhere to GLC and OSHA safety protocols.
Manage change in the field and authorize necessary documentation to maintain project momentum and achieve client satisfaction.
