Requirements

Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Educational Leadership certification/license.
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible district-level administrative experience in a Florida public school district.
At least five (5) years in a district-based administrative or policymaking position with broad authority for management policies and general district operations.
Qualifying experience includes service as a Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Associate Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Director of a major instructional or noninstructional functional area that reports directly to the Superintendent and supervises other administrative personnel, consistent with Section 1012.01(3)(a) and (b), Florida Statutes.
Demonstrated record of advancing student achievement and academic performance through consistent, measurable annual growth in student learning, as reflected in state accountability ratings and state progress monitoring data.
