About The Position

Wilson McLain Plumbing is seeking an experienced Punch Plumbing Supervisor to oversee our residential punch and warranty operations in Abilene, TX. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys mentoring others while ensuring every home meets the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. We're looking for a motivated leader who can work independently, solve problems in the field, and build strong relationships with builders, homeowners, and team members. If you have extensive experience in new residential plumbing and enjoy leading a team while still rolling up your sleeves when needed, we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Current Texas Journeyman Plumber License or higher
  • Extensive experience in new residential plumbing.
  • Previous supervisory or foreman experience leading plumbing crews.
  • Ability to independently diagnose plumbing issues and perform repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, installation methods, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber with strong leadership skills, residential construction experience, and the ability to lead by example while working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support a team of plumbers, helpers, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate daily punch list and warranty activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Inspect homes before scheduling punch work to ensure they are ready.
  • Perform plumbing repairs and troubleshoot issues independently.
  • Ensure all work meets company standards, builder expectations, and local code requirements.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with builders through daily communication.
  • Respond to warranty calls and resolve customer concerns professionally.
  • Monitor job site cleanliness and ensure homes are left in excellent condition.
  • Plan work assignments and adjust schedules to meet production deadlines.
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations.
  • Coach team members, resolve field issues, and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain production and time records while supporting overall department performance.
