About The Position

If you're a Foreman who's traveling a lot right now and ready for more control over your schedule, this is your next move. As a Traveling Superintendent, you'll get the hands-on training to manage multiple projects at once, along with the autonomy to run your schedule your way. This is a field leadership role (not a desk job) where you'll own execution and crew leadership on-site while building the skills to keep growing your career.

Requirements

  • Current experience as a Foreman in electrical construction, ready to take the next step in your career
  • Proven ability to lead crews and run day-to-day operations on a job site
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally (we're licensed in 49 states)
  • Based in metro Detroit, with the ability to work out of our Sterling branch when not traveling
  • A safety-first mindset and comfort working around live electrical systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Current trade skills/licenses relevant to electrical construction, and a commitment to keeping them up to date
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Some exposure to project management fundamentals (budgets, change orders, scheduling), this is a field-focused leadership role, not a Project Manager position, but PM-adjacent skills are a plus
  • Experience running crews across multiple simultaneous job sites
  • NFPA 70E / electrical safety compliance familiarity

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing day-to-day field operations on-site, keeping crews safe, on schedule, and working efficiently
  • Managing multiple traveling project assignments at once, coordinating priorities across job sites
  • Leading, scheduling, and mentoring field crews, including training team members as you go
  • Partnering with Project Managers on budgets, change orders, and customer communication, while owning execution in the field
  • Coordinating permits, inspections, and code compliance on-site
  • Leading quality and safety inspections throughout the life of each project
  • Championing a strong safety culture- reporting incidents and near misses promptly and holding your team accountable
  • Maintaining parts, tools, and equipment inventory for your projects
  • Traveling nationally to job sites as assignments require, working out of our Sterling branch between trips
  • Performing hands-on field work and installations, including working with live electricity, as needed
  • Resolving jobsite personnel and customer conflicts proactively and professionally
  • Ensuring all crew members hold current safety certifications
  • Building lasting relationships with customers, vendors, and site partners
