About The Position

As a Pier Solutions superintendent, your core goal is to uphold the highest level of professionalism on all sites, demonstrating leadership, collaboration, integrity, service, quality, and a hard work ethic in all your interactions with coworkers, subcontractors, and clients. Reporting to the Director of Operations, your project responsibilities will include the following: Assisting project managers in estimating, creating project schedules, ordering materials, and preparing multiple sites for start of construction Providing leadership and expertise for internal project planning meetings, pre-bid meetings, kickoff meetings, check-ins, and debriefs throughout the course of projects Managing and coordinating schedules, materials, and subcontractors on an ongoing basis, ensuring no gaps in project scope Identifying and implementing creative and efficient construction methods while actively overseeing quality control, including inspections, deficiency identification and resolution, and verification that completed work meets drawings, specifications, and Pier quality standards. Coordinating site activities and materials while directly supervising foremen and site crews, providing clear direction, priorities, and accountability for daily work execution, productivity, safety, and quality standards Working together with project managers to maintain on-site documentation, including site instructions, contract changes, safety records, and daily job-site logs Ensuring that the safety program is adhered to and our COR status is upheld Serving as a key on-site representative to clients, addressing issues proactively and contributing to continuous improvement of the customer experience Maintaining an exceptional standard of professionalism, respect, and communication on site for everyone involved, and managing conflict as it arises Maturing the overall services and capacities of our operations team Upholding the Pier culture, values, and ethics through yourself and the crew Supporting and providing relief to other crews when necessary, including performing general labour as required

Requirements

  • Knowledge of blueprint interpretation and construction best practices
  • Experience with construction management software
  • Class 5 license; Class 3 preferred
  • Ability to work on the road
  • Concrete work experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Earthworks experience preferred
  • Bridge experience preferred
