About The Position

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a medium to large-scale project. This role ensures all work is executed in alignment with project requirements, including safety, quality, staffing, financial performance, and customer delivery. The Superintendent will lead field operations, manage personnel, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.

Requirements

  • Experience working in data center, telecommunications, or structured cabling environments
  • Strong background in fiber optic and network cabling systems, including OSP environments
  • Experience overseeing installation work such as rack and stack and cabling infrastructure
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documentation
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and workforce planning
  • Strong leadership experience managing field teams on construction or technical projects
  • Proficiency with tools such as Bluebeam and other project tracking software

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all onsite project personnel, including hiring, training, supervision, and performance management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and project stakeholders
  • Oversee project execution to ensure timelines, quality standards, and customer expectations are met
  • Manage project profitability, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting
  • Coordinate workforce planning, workload distribution, and staffing levels
  • Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with installation schedules and delivery goals
  • Review job cost postings, invoices, and financial documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and on time, including timesheets, work orders, and change orders
  • Conduct jobsite quality checks, prevent outages, and maintain as-built documentation
  • Attend construction and coordination meetings as required
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on site
  • Review and improve operational processes, including estimating, purchasing, scheduling, and reporting
  • Lead operational meetings and training sessions
  • Promote and enforce safety standards across all project activities
  • Manage tools, equipment, and inventory for the project
