About The Position

We are seeking professional Superintendents for our ongoing project at Chicago's O'Hare airport. Join us, build the world! Assists the project Superintendent and/or Project Manager by providing on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects. Responsible for the organization and direction of construction activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project. Responsible for and ensures project safety compliance. May coordinate with client representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations. Responsibilities are to ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications and to quality standards. Interfaces with other administrative field staff, field management staff and particularly the Senior Superintendent and Project Manager in a coordinated effort.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering/Construction Management and 4 years of relevant construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • Must pass the client's security screening process to include SWAC (Secure Worker Access Consortium) and/or SIDA (Identification Display Area) and fingerprinting, which will be done after you have commenced employment and is a condition of your continued employment.
  • All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Airport construction experience.
  • Strong understanding of systems, and phased construction in an operational airport environment.
  • Prior experience in construction compliance, scheduling, sequencing, etc.
  • Proficiency in construction documentation, change order management, RFI, RFP, etc.
  • OSHA safety certification (OSHA 10, 30).
