About The Position
As Superintendent, you will execute and supervise the construction process for the assigned homes ensuring all specifications are completed for home buyer closing. Your oversight of the schedule and direction of Trades will ensure quality standards, adherence to building codes and health & safety requirements are met. This role is required to flex between various sites in the greater Charlotte, NC area.
Requirements
- 3+ years of residential building experience
- Experience using BuildPro is a definite asset
- Ability to motivate and direct a team, and demonstrate great leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Monitor construction process from start to finish, including reasonable construction budget control, code compliance, and providing technical guidance as needed to Trade and Sub-contractors
- Conduct regular site inspections and reports as well as resolves any code violations, Trade deficiencies, material delays, safety breaches and other associated construction process challenges to Superintendent
- Execute full completion of the assigned home prior to the closing date 100% of the time, conducts New Home Orientation walk-through with home buyer, and oversees addressing all relevant “blue tape” punch list items.
- Handle legitimate / warranted items when / if warranty requests are received from home buyer. Oversees warranty work by Trades or Subcontractors, makes minor warranty repairs when justified
