About The Position

The Superintendent / Project Manager provides hands-on leadership of all on-site construction activities for complex projects, with a strong focus on daily field control of subcontractors, safety, quality, schedule, and site logistics. This role is responsible for driving execution through detailed look-ahead planning, coordination of inspections, management of site access, and proactive risk mitigation to keep projects on track for the rebuilding of homes in the Los Angeles Palisades area. As the primary field leader, the Project Manager / Superintendent ensures work is performed safely, meets QA/QC standards, and is delivered on time while maintaining strong client confidence. They serve as the main point of contact for owners, inspectors, and project stakeholders, while mentoring field staff and leading subcontractor performance from mobilization through closeout. Requirements

10+ years of construction experience, including 3+ years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
Experience managing commercial construction projects
Excellent client liaison, project lead, and relationship building skills.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6 preferred)
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
OSHA 30 certification
First Aid / CPR certification (or ability to obtain)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
General Contractor license or LEED experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Oversee all onsite construction activities and field operations
Direct subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to maintain productivity and progress
Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet key milestones
Develop and manage short-term look-ahead schedules aligned with the master project schedule
Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and labor to maintain workflow
Identify potential issues early and implement solutions to avoid delays
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance
Conduct daily safety meetings, site inspections, and job hazard analysis
Ensure proper PPE use and maintain a strong safety culture onsite
Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards
Perform regular jobsite walkthroughs and inspections
Coordinate required inspections, testing, and quality control procedures
Manage subcontractor performance, scope execution, and schedule adherence
Coordinate trades to prevent conflicts and maintain project flow
Address field issues and escalate discrepancies when necessary
Maintain daily reports including manpower, progress, weather, and safety updates
Communicate field updates and issues to the Project Manager
Assist with RFIs, change orders, and field directives as needed
Manage punch list completion and final inspections
Coordinate site demobilization and project turnover
Support delivery of as-builts, O&M manuals, and final documentation
