About The Position

Moss is seeking a Superintendent to plan, schedule, organize, and direct the construction of wood multi-family building projects. This role is responsible for all field execution, coordinating the timely and cost-effective placement of contracted work, and assisting the Project Manager and/or Project Executive with all project needs. The Superintendent will supervise all field construction work, ensuring adherence to safety and quality control policies and procedures.

Requirements

Experienced as a primary Superintendent on multi-family wood projects.
Experience with multiple direct reports and an exceptional ability to lead and manage project teams is a necessity.
Computer proficiency.

Bachelor's in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Participate in preconstruction by identifying project requirements and Owner Contract requirements.
Work with Project Manager and scheduling team to create and build the project schedule.
Conduct preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors.
Lead the team from construction start through project close.
Communicate scope to the entire site management team.
Construct the project by maintaining a project production schedule and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.
Manage safety by establishing safety protocols to ensure job site consistently adheres to OSHA safety standards.
Communicate regularly with owners and other construction management team members.
Manage job progress by participating in owner’s meetings and "in-house" staff meetings, and provide written documentation on job progress.
Perform daily Superintendent reports and update the schedule.
Manage the quality control plan.
Supervise assigned project personnel and maintain a positive work environment.
Manage the project turnover/closeout process and assist in determining the project turnover sequence.
Lead and coach new team members by providing feedback and performance evaluation and recognizing accomplishments.
Participate in professional development activities including continuing education.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
