About The Position

Moss is seeking a Superintendent to plan, schedule, organize, and direct the construction of wood multi-family building projects. This role is responsible for all field execution, coordinating the timely and cost-effective placement of contracted work, and assisting the Project Manager and/or Project Executive with all project needs. The Superintendent will supervise all field construction work, ensuring adherence to safety and quality control policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experienced as a primary Superintendent on multi-family wood projects.
  • Experience with multiple direct reports and an exceptional ability to lead and manage project teams is a necessity.
  • Computer proficiency.

  • Bachelor's in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in preconstruction by identifying project requirements and Owner Contract requirements.
  • Work with Project Manager and scheduling team to create and build the project schedule.
  • Conduct preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors.
  • Lead the team from construction start through project close.
  • Communicate scope to the entire site management team.
  • Construct the project by maintaining a project production schedule and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.
  • Manage safety by establishing safety protocols to ensure job site consistently adheres to OSHA safety standards.
  • Communicate regularly with owners and other construction management team members.
  • Manage job progress by participating in owner’s meetings and "in-house" staff meetings, and provide written documentation on job progress.
  • Perform daily Superintendent reports and update the schedule.
  • Manage the quality control plan.
  • Supervise assigned project personnel and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Manage the project turnover/closeout process and assist in determining the project turnover sequence.
  • Lead and coach new team members by providing feedback and performance evaluation and recognizing accomplishments.
  • Participate in professional development activities including continuing education.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
