About The Position

This role will lead heavy/highway construction projects from planning through closeout, driving safety, schedule adherence, quality, and profitability. The Superintendent will manage project documentation, change orders, and job cost impacts, ensuring timely approvals and clear communication of scope changes. They will oversee subcontractors and field operations to ensure compliance with contract documents and resolve issues that affect execution or cost. Additionally, the Superintendent will coordinate and lead project meetings with estimators, subcontractors, municipalities, and internal teams to maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, municipalities, and governmental agencies while delivering a high level of customer service is key. The role also involves managing labor resources, including union coordination, staffing levels, and direction of field personnel, while supporting the Construction Manager with reporting and updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Proven background in heavy/highway construction with strong knowledge of civil construction practices.
• Experience working with municipalities and navigating agency processes, permits, and coordination requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and customer service skills in fast-paced, field-driven environments.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities
