About The Position
East Gate Church is a Christ-centered community dedicated to helping people know God, grow in their faith, and live out His purpose in their daily lives. Kid Connect is the children’s ministry of East Gate Church, serving infants through elementary-aged children. Our mission is to partner with families in raising a generation that knows and loves Jesus. Through engaging Bible lessons, prayer, age-appropriate activities, and meaningful relationships, we strive to provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children can grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially. As a Sunday School Teacher (Infant/Toddler Class), you’ll make a difference by helping our mission come to life for the youngest families in our community. This purpose-driven role exists to create a secure, loving space where infants and toddlers can begin to experience Jesus’ love while parents engage in worship.
Requirements
- Experience with children; basic infant/toddler development knowledge
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
- Dependable, patient, trustworthy; supports East Gate Church’s mission
- Must pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the room, materials, and simple, age-appropriate Bible activities
- Supervise children closely while providing care (comforting, diapering, snacks as needed)
- Share biblical truth through short stories, songs, prayer, and play
- Follow child safety, sanitation, and check-in/check-out procedures
- Communicate respectfully with parents and ministry leadership
- Clean, sanitize, and reset the classroom after service
