About The Position

This program offers various summer positions for youth aged 14-18. Participants will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, janitorial work, operate mowers and weed eaters, painting, and debris pickup. Additional duties may be assigned by an on-site supervisor. The program emphasizes reliability, timeliness, and good people skills, with the ability to understand and execute written and oral instructions. Participants must be willing to perform strenuous tasks outdoors in various weather conditions and learn to safely operate yard equipment. Attendance at assigned workshops/trainings is required. Employment is contingent upon pre-employment background and drug screening.

Requirements

• 14 to 18 years of age on your starting date
• Member of federally recognized Indian tribe
• Current enrollment in Cusick High school or; Kalispel Tribal member enrolled in any School
• GPA of 2.0
• If you have any failing grades, part of your work day will be summer school.
