About The Position

As a job coach, you will be responsible for job coaching participants in the Summer Youth Work Experience Program. The coach will provide job readiness training and ongoing coaching for participants with disabilities and other barriers to employment. The job coach supports participants as they learn how to perform their job successfully. Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. provides training, employment, and support services to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to meet driving requirements for insurance purposes.
Experience training or coaching people.
Meet security requirements (BCI Background check or FBI if not lived in Ohio for the last 5 years, Systems for Awards Management, Office of the Inspector General, DODD online abuser registry, Medicaid provider Exclusions and Suspension list, Ohio Attorney General sex offender search, ODRC Offender search, Ohio Dept. of Health Nurse Aide Registry).
Work unsupervised for long periods of time.
Willing to complete First Aid and CPR certification during designated training session.
Able to compose detailed notes and complete paperwork to maintain accurate records.
Stand for 4 hours as well as bend, lift, stoop, squat and reach.
Must pass a pre-employment Drug Test.
Dependable work history.

Nice To Haves

Education is a plus.
College students working towards social work, education, rehabilitation, or psychology degrees.
Current teachers, life coaches, sports coaches, or anyone with a love for helping people.

Responsibilities

Provide job readiness training and ongoing coaching for participants with disabilities and other barriers to employment.
Support participants as they learn how to perform their job successfully.
Pick up a company-assigned vehicle.
Drive to pick up participants at their homes.
Drive participants to their designated worksites.
Coach participants with their job duties during their shift.
Take notes during the day.
Drive participants home.
Drop off the company vehicle.
Complete paperwork for sessions.
