Requirements

  • Ability to handle (push, lift, slide, etc.) bundles of articles that weigh up to 25-30 lbs each.
  • Must be able to handle 1600 bundles per eight (8) hour shift and/or stand in front of packing bin a minimum of eight (8) hours hand packing articles to make up bundles or boxes of finished goods.
  • Must be able to stand on your feet a minimum of eight (8) hours per day.
  • Must be able to repeatedly stoop, bend, twist, turn, climb, and lift.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to communicate; reading and writing comprehension.
  • Ability to follow directions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an industrial assembly line type environment or related type work preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reads specifications prior to inspecting and packing any product.
  • Completes production records.
  • Tends article stacker/hand packs, palletizes articles and packages materials in a variety of methods, i.e., bundles, bags, boxes, shrink wrap, tied, etc. according to packaging specifications.
  • Maintain pace with molding machine.
  • Clear machine jams quickly and safely, as necessary.
  • Construct and assemble boxes and stage them for use.
  • Inspect product for quality and visual defects.
  • Monitors quality by visual inspection, testing, measuring and recording results.
  • Communicates to the Molding Operator when defective product is discovered.
  • Evaluates when equipment is malfunctioning and communicates issue with Shift Mechanic.
  • Keep workstation, tables and work area clean and free of tripping hazards.
  • Work safely and follow all GMP and PPE’s.
  • Sort, repack, clean and perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
