The Frontline Intake Worker provides critical, trauma-informed, and client-centered support to women and children fleeing gender-based violence (GBV), including intimate partner violence (IPV), human trafficking, and abuse. This role involves managing shelter intake processes, assessing client needs, conducting safety planning, and ensuring access to appropriate supports and resources. Working from anti-oppressive, harm-reduction, and trauma-informed frameworks, the Intake Worker ensures equitable and compassionate care for diverse populations, including newcomers, racialized communities, persons with disabilities, gender-diverse individuals, and children impacted by trauma.
