About The Position

The Summer Vice President role is a 10-week Boston-based opportunity within Bain Capital Double Impact (BCDI). BCDI is a middle market private equity strategy focused on delivering competitive financial returns by investing in businesses with measurable social or environmental impact. The Summer VP will join a small, passionate investment team and play an active role in all elements of the business. This includes partnering with experienced private equity investment professionals to drive both financial and impact value throughout investment processes and ownership periods. The role offers a training program in the first week to introduce Bain Capital's value-added investment approach, teaching how to evaluate investment opportunities through fundamental strategic analysis. Summer VPs may also be exposed to portfolio company issues such as add-on investments or operational improvements, gaining unique operating experience. Bain Capital professionals develop skills as value-added investors, not just financial engineers.

Requirements

Exceptional business analytic and quantitative skills
2+ years of work experience in management consulting and/or investment management
Excellent professional and academic track record
Ability to operate with limited supervision
Highly analytical and strategic thinker
Strong interpersonal skills
Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership
Strong academic record from top undergraduate school
Currently enrolled in MBA degree program

Responsibilities

Play an active role in all elements of the business.
Partner with experienced private equity investment professionals to drive both financial and impact value throughout investment processes and ownership periods.
