About The Position
Teach, Inspire, and Grow with Sylvan Learning! We are looking for teachers in our summer school programs through August 23, 2026. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals pursuing education degrees to gain real-world experience, build their teaching portfolio, and make a significant impact on student success. Sylvan Learning provides a supportive environment where instructors can focus on teaching without the burden of administrative tasks like lesson planning, scheduling, payments, and parent communications, as these are all handled by the center. The position offers super flexible hours that can accommodate academic schedules, along with paid training to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements
- In an education degree program (sophomore+), or a related degree.
- Great communicator, organized, and eager to help students succeed.
Nice To Haves
- Previous teaching/tutoring is a plus, but we’ll train you!
Responsibilities
- Lead small groups in Reading, Math, Writing, Study Skills, SAT/ACT prep, and more.
- Give instant feedback to help students build confidence and love for learning.
- Help students stay on track and achieve their goals.
