Charlotte Pipe and Foundry , located in Monroe, North Carolina , is looking for Summer Temporary Associates with a proven track record to join our team. Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is a leading manufacturer of pipe and fittings. We are the only manufacturer that offers a complete system of cast iron, PVC, CPVC, ABS and FlowGuard Gold® pipe and fittings for residential and commercial plumbing systems and industrial applications. Summary: Summer Temporary Associates have the opportunity to learn and experience work within the manufacturing industry.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least a rising Freshman in College
• Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts, night and day shifts available
• Work the entire program with no more than 1-week of scheduled time off
• Submit to and successfully complete background check and pre-employment drug test

Responsibilities

• Support and assists in keeping work areas up to 5S housekeeping standards, including but not limited to:
• Operating a sweeper
• Painting
• General grounds clean-up
• Clean-up of machines
• Assisting full-time associates with day-to-day tasks such as assemblies, barcoding, cycle counts, visual inspections, etc.
• Operating equipment such as a forklift or stock picker
• Assist with pulling boxes and filling orders
