About The Position

The Township of Springwater is recruiting a temporary, summer student to work in its People & Talent department. This position is for a student who is currently enrolled in post-secondary full-time studies or will be in September 2026, preferably in human resources, labour relations, or a related discipline. The role involves assisting with various HR functions, including recruitment, retention, training, and special projects.

Requirements

All applicants must provide confirmation of post-secondary full time student status in current academic year and/or acceptance into full time studies in September 2026.
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with staff and the public in an effective and courteous manner.

Nice To Haves

Enrolled as a student in human resources, labour relations, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with recruitment and selection, including job posting and interview documentation.
Assist with retention scheduling and archive work within our document management system, including electronic scanning of documents and filing.
Assist with training and development initiatives, including content creation for LMS.
Create and draft correspondence, presentations, training materials, and other documentation.
Assist with special projects and event planning.
Perform other duties as assigned.
