Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive People & Talent / HR experience, ideally in an advisory or business partner role
  • Post-secondary education in HR, Business, or a related field (CPHR designation is an asset)
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, and compliance requirements
  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, and People & Talent program development
  • Proven ability to coach and influence leaders while building trusted relationships across all levels
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to use people data to guide decisions
  • A high level of integrity and confidentiality, with the ability to act with discretion, respect, and empathy
  • Experience interpreting and applying HR policies and employment legislation in a practical, business-aligned way
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing needs
  • Confidence in your expertise, balanced with curiosity and openness to feedback
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and familiarity with HR systems
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and a thoughtful, balanced approach to your work

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, people-focused support and guidance to employees and managers across a wide range of People & Talent matters
  • Coach managers and employees through performance conversations, development planning, and complex situations, building capability and confidence at all levels
  • Assess risk, gather context, and provide balanced, business-aligned recommendations across employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation
  • Deliver People & Talent initiatives that advance organizational priorities, from performance management and total rewards to engagement and workforce planning
  • Partner with teams across multiple offices and locations, navigating the complexity that comes with a distributed and growing organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
  • Mentor team members, facilitate training programs, and champion continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and support compliance requirements, including internal processes and audits
  • Leverage people data and insights to support decision-making and identify trends
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve People & Talent function and actively seek opportunities to improve practices, processes, and tools
