About The Position

The Site Services (Infrastructure) Summer Student will be responsible for assisting the Site Service Team with a full range of labour, maintenance, repair, and service activities. The incumbent will use considerable judgment in making decisions and be able to perform all tasks in accordance with Alamos’ workplace safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Experience operating hand and power tools
• Experience performing manual duties
• Possess a valid Canadian driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Ability to thrive in an environment of change; must be creative and flexible

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, sweeping, shop housekeeping
• Performing minor repairs of locks, doors, walls
• Checking functionality of safety systems (fire alarms, fire extinguishers)
• Mowing lawns, cutting brush
• Installing appliances
• Assisting Carpenters and Labourers with projects and repairs
• Minor carpentry (cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials)
• Other tasks as assigned.
