About The Position

As the Summer Student Shop Laborer, you will support our Edmonton operations team in a hands-on role that helps keep our yard, shop, and materials organized and running efficiently. This is a 3-month term position ending September 1, 2026, and is ideal for a recent high school graduate or a post-secondary student on summer break who is looking to gain practical experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will contribute to daily shop activities while building valuable workplace skills in safety, organization, and teamwork.

• This role is well suited for a recent high school graduate or a post-secondary student seeking summer work experience

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the yard, shop, and work areas to support a safe and organized environment
• Organize materials, parts, and consumables so items are easy to locate and ready for use
• Assist with receiving, sorting, and putting away incoming materials and supplies
• Support inventory counts and help restock commonly used shop and yard items
• Help with basic loading, unloading, and movement of materials within the yard or shop
• Dispose of scrap, packaging, and waste materials in accordance with site procedures
• Participate in daily housekeeping and support Lifting Solutions’ safety culture
• Complete assigned tasks independently while assisting team members as needed
