About The Position

The Strategic Modeling Team at the Boston R&D Center develops next-generation simulators to aid the Upstream Division in improving hydrocarbon recovery and discovery. Their work encompasses numerical methods, software development, and high-performance computing. This program offers students the opportunity to implement new physical models into Aramco’s next-generation massively parallel reservoir simulator, profile simulation code to identify performance critical regions and work with researchers to improve performance, develop and test front-end GUI elements for simulator input creation, and perform validation of simulator results by comparing to industry standard results. Opportunities eligible for internship course credit are available; students should check with their Academic Advisor or University.
