Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in (final year or term) or recently graduated from a Data Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or equivalent technical program.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python, with foundational understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration concepts.
  • Some exposure to database, data warehouse, or data lake solutions through coursework, personal projects, or prior work experience.
  • Familiarity with Azure data services such as Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or Purview.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with clear written and verbal communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to or hands-on experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) or generative AI tools.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and able to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Review existing operational data, investigate open issues, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams on new and ongoing projects.
  • Contribute to the design of tools and infrastructure needed to process and analyze large volumes of data.
  • Build data pipelines and assist with monitoring and troubleshooting operational or data quality issues.
  • Support the team with root cause analysis and thorough resolution of defects when problems arise.
  • Explore other areas of interest such as Data Governance, Data Security, Data Science, or Master Data Management.
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation of processes, data models, and engineering solutions.
  • Perform other data-related duties as required.
