About The Position

Soccer Shots Nashville is seeking a Summer Sports Management Paid Intern. This internship offers a comprehensive learning experience in the planning, scheduling, sales/marketing, customer service, and management aspects of the sports business. The intern will assist in the execution of a Soccer Shots season, organize and coordinate an annual clinic, and participate in instructing Soccer Shots sessions, gaining experience in coaching youth and working with parents. This internship may be eligible for academic credit, and Soccer Shots will collaborate with the student's school to facilitate this process.

Requirements

• Prior soccer experience is not required. We only require the passion for positively impacting children’s lives through the love of sports and fitness.
• Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• At least one consistent Weekday Evening (4pm-7pm) & one weekend morning (8am-12pm) available per week

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall execution of the scheduled Soccer Shots season
• Plan and run free clinic
• Coach sessions throughout the season
• Video/photo projects
• Run demos and attend promo events
• Participate in business development with Program Director
• Correspond with center directors
• Participate in social media content creation and communication
• Create, print, and distribute registration forms and promotional materials
• Prepare and keep record of equipment sets and gear for instructors
• Assist in preparation of instructor training meeting
• Prepare direct mail and other marketing documents
• Prepare and distribute seasons prizes and certificates
• Data entry
• Attend Director Round Table discussions and staff meetings, as available
• Submit final report to Soccer Shots on experience
