This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and clean operational environment within the kitchen. The position involves preparing and serving meals according to ServSafe standards, tasting prepared items for quality, and assisting with meal service, including preparing late plates for clients. Responsibilities also include managing deliveries, maintaining kitchen cleanliness (trash removal, sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning worktables, stoves, ovens, and sinks), and adhering to safe food handling practices by wearing appropriate attire and equipment. The role requires maintaining professional relationships with clients, demonstrating respect and equality, attending staff meetings, assisting other departments as needed, and maintaining attendance in accordance with facility guidelines. The cook will contribute to a positive work environment and perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager, Camp Director, or their designee.
