About The Position

Catapult Learning is seeking a Summer School Teacher for a private school in Kapolei, HI. This is a seasonal, part-time, in-person position. The role involves being an advocate, difference maker, and mentor to students, helping them learn, grow, and shine using a proven curriculum and ongoing support. The teacher will guide and empower students to be their best.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of lead teaching experience in grade level range of 3rd-5th grade.
Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.
Must be able to teach at the Kapolei school campus from June 8 - July 17 from 12:45p-2:45p Mondays through Fridays excluding June 11, June 19, and July 3.
Paid preparation time of 45 minutes per instructional day. Must be on campus by 12:15p on each instructional day.
Must be able to attend trainings on June 2 and 3.
Must be able to complete all onboarding tasks no later than June 1, which may require you to be on island in the month of May to complete task.

Nice To Haves

Degree in education highly preferred
Teaching credential preferred
Optional classroom set up day on June 5, though it is highly preferred that you attend

Responsibilities

Differentiate Instruction: Customize and deliver scripted lessons and use data to meet student needs. Use scripted curriculum provided to deliver instruction. Work with one group for two hours on math, reading, and enrichment.
Engage Students: Foster ownership, critical thinking, and clear routines.
Grow Professionally: Embrace training, coaching, and feedback.
Track Progress: Maintain accurate student and academic records.
