About The Position

Catapult Learning is seeking a Summer School Teacher for a private school in Kapolei, HI. This is a seasonal, part-time, in-person role. The teacher will act as an advocate, difference maker, and mentor to students, guiding and empowering them to be their best. The position utilizes a proven curriculum and offers ongoing support to enable teachers to focus on student development.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of lead teaching experience in grade level range of 3rd-8th grade.
Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.
Must be able to teach at the Kapolei school campus from June 8 - July 17 from 12:30p-4:30p Mondays through Fridays excluding June 11, June 19, and July 3
Must be able to attend trainings on June 2 and 3
Must be able to complete all onboarding tasks no later than June 1, which may require you to be on island in the month of May to complete tasks.

Nice To Haves

Degree in education highly preferred.
Teaching credential preferred.
Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
Optional classroom set up day on June 5, though it is highly preferred that you attend

Responsibilities

Differentiate Instruction: Customize and deliver scripted lessons and use data to meet student needs. Use scripted curriculum provided to deliver instruction. Work with two different groups for two hours each on math, reading, and enrichment.
Engage Students: Foster ownership, critical thinking, and clear routines.
Grow Professionally: Embrace training, coaching, and feedback.
Track Progress: Maintain accurate student and academic records.
